The theatre group Maa Maram are the creators of all the theatre exercises in the Design Thinking Modules.

About the Course
- Welcome to the Design Thinking For Social Innovation – a two credit course
- Design- Thinking is Human-centered problem-solving approach that emphasize on Empathy,
Collaboration , Co-creation and Stakeholder feedback to unlock Creativity and Innovation, to
devise feasible and viable ideas/solutions. - Design- Thinking believes that the people who face problems & challenges are the ones who
hold the key to the problem -solution and successful implementation. - The course consists of self- learning and group- learning in asynchronous mode -where
individually you have to go through the lessons, create your notes and group activity to work on
social challenge projects and, in a synchronous mode where your faculty initially disseminates
or explains the lessons to you and later will teach/coach you based on your notes and facilitates
the group activities, through the intersection café

Enhancing the computer literacy of children of government schools
- Educate students on the roles of the computer and its application in day-to-day activities
- Orient the mindset of the school authorities towards the necessity of computer literacy to students
English language proficiency for better learning for children of rural schools
- Demonstrate the importance of communication skills to the children of rural schools
- Enhance the student’s interest in English communication
Improving the writing skills of the special kids
- Develop unique writing tools to improve the skills of special kids
Alcohol addiction with teenagers
- Demonstrate the ill effects of alcohol consumption on teenagers
- Develop a mechanism to keep the teenagers away from the consumption of alcohol
Taking students back to school
- Demonstrate the importance of education to the students and also to the parents
- Develop a mechanism to attract children to the schools
- Develop the system to identify the school drop-outs and send them back to school
Waste management at Local vegetable market
- Bring awareness about the vegetable market in the minds of people about food wastage
- Design a method to decrease the wastage
Online games and their effect on young ones
- Sensitise the young children about the ill effects of online games
- Divert the attention of the young ones from the gaming zones
